Roebuck has stormed onto the English wine scene and has made heads turn: 2020 saw it take the Platinum Medal and Best in Show at Decanter's annual awards. (It's also where our much-missed former General Manager Andy Mead has moved onto!) Sourcing its fruit from four prime sites in Sussex - the oldest of which were planted in 2006 in the Upperton vineyard, just outside Petworth - and with Emma Rice (of Hattingley Valley up to the summer of 2022) as the winemaker, the producer is setting its sights on England's top spot.

Nestled in a serene valley at the foothills of the South Downs lies the Roman Villa vineyard where the fruit for this wine was grown. Crafted exclusively from handpicked Pinot Noir grapes, this Blanc De Noirs was partially fermented in Burgundian oak barrels and bottle-aged for a minimum of 48 months. A rich, yet beautifully balanced wine with delicate bubbles, a silky texture, and a long, lingering finish. Baked apples and ripe stone fruits on the palate are layered with complex notes of brioche and toasted almonds, characteristic of a generous bottle-ageing.

Pair with lobster, oysters, or aged Comté.
