A rare umeshu made by infusing the highest quality Nanko plums from Wakayama prefecture into Yamabuki, a 10-year aged sake (koshu). The light brown sugar (kibi) adds a warm sweetness and the aged sake a mellow depth, while the plums balance the flavour with a refreshing tartness.

TYPE: Plum sake (umeshu)

COLOUR: Medium orange gold

OUR TASTING NOTES: A dry and savoury style of umeshu with the oxidative character of the 10-year-old koshu used as base spirit. It has delicate notes of plum skin with an astringent and complex finish.

FOOD PAIRING: Vanilla ice cream; pork belly.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve well chilled (4-8 ºC)

STORAGE: Store in a dry and cool place. Avoid direct sunlight.
