The Chavy family has lived in Puligny-Montrachet for more than two centuries but producing wine under their label only since 1986, when Gérard Chavy began bottling under his own domaine. Jean-Louis, the latest generation of the family, finds the perfect balance of applying traditional and organic vineyard practices while welcoming new technology in the cellar. His wine style emphasizes fruit purity and minerality with rich, opulent texture. They are classic Puligny-Montrachet wines made in a classic style showing elegance, grace and longevity.
On the nose there's crushed rocks, mint leaves, white flowers, green tea, smoked lemon rind, opening to a palate of lime, green pear and spearmint with hints of white chocolate and watercress. Focused, powerful and masculine with a pretty, mineral finish.
