Le Groslot by Alexis Hudon is a natural wine, a light-bodied and dry white wine from the Loire Valley, made with a blend of Grolleau Gris and Colombard grapes, known for its refreshing, fruit-forward profile with notes of bruised yellow apple, juicy citrus, and minerality.
Grape Varietals:Â It's a blend of 75% Grolleau Gris (from Thouars in Anjou) and 25% Colombard (from Courrensan in Gers).Â
Winemaking: The Colombard is directly pressed and returned to Hudon's winery. The wine is made organically, biodynamically, and vegan, with grapes hand-harvested from clay soils.
Tasting Notes: The wine is described as light-bodied and dry, with notes of bruised yellow apple, juicy overripe citrus, honeysuckle, and wet stone, featuring medium-plus acidity and a tart finish.
Style: It is often described as a "snappy fruit juice fun for sunny outside drinking" and is recommended to be chilled and enjoyed on a hot day.
