Part of the Special Finish Series, this bottle stands as a unique collaboration encompassing distillers, beekeepers, and the diligent honey bees. A small-batch Four Grain Straight Bourbon is initially created, utilizing new charred oak barrels. Once the bourbon is harvested, a local apiary introduces their delectable honey into the barrels. The honey interacts with the residual bourbon and char, while simultaneously coating the barrel's interior. After the honey is harvested, the barrels return to their original purpose - to accommodate Four Grain Straight Bourbon for a second maturation round. This additional aging process imparts a heightened sweetness that enhances the notes of black tea, orange blossom, and cinnamon. This whole process appreciates the hard work of the local pollinators - cheers to their dedicated efforts.
